AIAP Monthly Meeting<br>Dr. Babak Nemati is a nationally recognized authority in the medical device industry, currently serving as the Executive Vice President of Genetronics, Inc., where he oversees corporate development efforts of Genetronics in the fields of oncology and gene therapy.<br>Prior to joining Genetronics, Dr. Nemati spent ten years in the medical device industry leading the development and commercialization of a wide range of medical technologies in a variety of medical specialties including dermatology, ophthalmology, general surgery, and oncology. Dr. Nemati has held senior positions in leading global and national healthcare companies, such as Johnson and Johnson, leading the strategic planning and business development process for the Johnson & Johnson global surgical oncology franchise, as well as Candela Corporation, NASA Technology Commercialization Center, and Soma Research Corporation. <br>Dr. Nemati holds a B.A. in Physics, a B.S. in Mathematics, and a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering, all from the University of Texas at Austin.
