RELIEF International, a California based international disaster relief agency, is responding to the Afghan refugee crisis by dispatching relief teams to the region. The RELIEF teams including experienced health professionals carry with them essential emergency medical supplies to the border regions of Pakistan and Tajikistan where Afghan refugees are concentrated. The relief operation begins with mobile clinics and will expand to cover other needs based on assessments. <bR>There are currently over 5 million Afghans living in conditions of extreme vulnerability, facing certain starvation and death in the absence aid. One in 4 Afghan children dies before reaching the age of 5. These are preventable deaths. We need to take immediate action to prevent the situation from turning even more dire and to reverse the tide of misery and hopeless. RELIEF International is committed to long-term solutions to alleviate the plight of the Afghan people. In addition to the immediate need to keep Afghans alive through medical, food and other aid the provision of literacy for Afghan women is the key to overcoming the impact of decades of war and structural poverty.<br><br>RELIEF International relies on public support and private contributions from individuals and corporations in carrying out its humanitarian interventions including the emergency response to for the Afghan refugee crisis. <br><BR>An international fundraising event in support relief efforts for Afghan Refugees, Women & Children With the support of Business and Community Leaders from Across the State of California.<br><b>Ticket prices are as follows:<br>Individuals: $100; Senior Citizens & Students: $75; <br>Sponsorships: $1,500-$2000</b>
