"Peaceful Warrior" Opening in San Diego

"Peaceful Warrior" starring Nick Nolte and Amy Smart. The film was produced by Mark (Mohamad) Amin, an Iranian American, and is a contemporary retelling of Rumi's encounter with Shamse Tabriz. Mark currently serves as Vice-Chairman of Lions Gate Entertainment and has produced more than 50 films including "Frida", starring Salma Hayek which garnered six Academy Award nominations. Lions Gate Films is a distributor of many critically acclaimed films such as "Crash", which won the Academy Award for Best Picture last year. Mark came across the book "Way of the Peaceful Warrior" more than 10 years ago and recognized many of Rumi's teachings in the book.
