Dr. Ziba Mir-Hosseini, Visiting Professor of Law at NYU School of Law, is an expert on Islamic Family Law in Iran and has written extensively on women's rights in Iran. Her most recent book is Islam and Democracy in Iran. She has directed two award-winning feature-length documentary films on women's rights in Iran: Iran Divorce Iranian Style (l998) and Runaway (2001).
