Lian Ensemble in concert of Classical Persian Sufi music

This concert celebrates the mystic voice of love and longing for union with the divine through music. In Sufi terminology "love" and "heart" can note something higher than "love" and "heart" of conventional usage. Since the true beauty of the Sufi meaning of these words can only be hinted at, poetry is one of the best mediums for presenting a clarification of such expressions. In this concert Persian mystical poets such as Rumi, Attar, and Nurbakhsh, shed light on a better understanding of "love" and "heart" from the Sufi point of view.<br>
