A Night of Persian Art for All the Senses at The San Diego Museum of Art

Two Exhibition Events: Official opening of the Persian Art Section, and Separate Exhibition of Lyric Visions from Nezami’s "Quintet".<br><br>SPECIAL PREVIEW NIGHT: FRIDAY JUNE 15, 2007<br><br>7:00 PM – Opening of exhibitions, gallery previews and social hour<br> Food served by Amir Catering<br>8:00 PM - Music performance by Master Omoumi (nay), Mehrdad Arabi (tombak & daf) and Kourosh Taghavi (setar) at the James S. Copley Auditorium of the museum.<br><br>This is a fundraising event for the preservation and restoration of all Iranian artifacts available at the museum for present and future exhibitions in the Persian Art Gallery section. With nearly 500,000 annual visitors, the museum is a crossroad for better understanding of our cultural heritage.
