Location: UCSD, CENTER HALL Room 109
</b><BR><BR>In each one-day workshop, the Iranian American Youth learns various attributes of leadership in a fun and practical setting.
<br><br>
Managing Conflict:
<br><br>
Young Iranian American leaders will learn: Leadership traits- leadership behavior & motivation, how to recognize and deal with various areas of conflict that includes detecting and dealing with discrimination, learning about conflict management styles, initiating conflict resolution- responding to conflict resolution, self-assessment, discovering who is a leader in a conflict, leadership traits- leadership behavior & motivation - influencing, networking and negotiation.

Target Audience
<br><br>
There are approximately 6 modules in Phase I that are specifically designed for the Iranian American youth in High School grades 9-12. Phase II will be for the Iranian American Youth in college and above. Leadership workshops for other groups or professionals can be designed upon request. These workshops are sponsored and financed by the generous contributions of the Iranian American community.

Mission of the IAYLW
<br><br>
The Mission of the Iranian American Youth Leadership Workshop is to help the Iranian American youth expand their leadership beyond their personal sphere to benefit their school, community, and the world.

Vision of the IAYLW<br><br>

To help the Iranian American youth find their power and voice so they can fully step into the role of leadership and inhabit that role for a lifetime. Iranian American youth can begin to see themselves as holding their community and world in trust and find their place in serving for the common good.

A sincere and solid belief that the Iranian American youth attending these workshops are not just the "leaders of tomorrow" but are leaders right now. As such, they will be treated with respect and honesty.
