ISTA is going to start success lecture series at UCSD. We have invited Dr. Firouz Naderi for the first event. Former director of the Mars exploration program, visionary leader, outstanding human being, he is pride of our community.
<br><br>
Title: "what will we be remembered for?" and the lecture will be in English.
<br><br>
Firouz Naderi is an Iranian-American scientist and the Associate Director of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), responsible for Project Formulation and Strategy. He received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from USC and joined JPL in September 1979.

- NASA’s Outstanding Leadership Medal<br>
- Space Technology Hall of Fame Medal and NASA’s highest award <br>
- Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA)<br>
