Iranian STudent Association at UCSD (ISTA), in conjunction with Persian Cultural Center and Center for World Music present:<br><br>
"Zakhme" a Persian Classical Concert by the Setâr Ensemble at UCSD Price Center East Ballroom on September 29, 2012 in San Diego.
<br><br>
"One of my passions in life has always been to bring Persian classical music to the younger and more divers audiences. I have always believed that this music is capable of attracting music lovers of all ages and backgrounds. To achieve this I have formed an ensemble of my students, Setâr Ensemble, whose ages range now between 15 and 61 from first and second generation Iranian-American immigrants along with professional musicians who perform Persian classical music with passion at a very high level.<br><br>
We performed four sold out concerts, Shahrâshoob, last year in San Diego, Los Angeles, Berkeley and Santa Clara. This year I have added three more musicians including a vocalist to have an even larger and more complete ensemble to have a bigger sound. This is a concert at a very high artistic level and will touch audiences of all ages and back grounds a showcase of our rich and beautiful cultural heritage, our music.
